Bernard

On around October 25, 2001 we purchased a pumpkin. He had an awkward shape, but he was fated to become OUR pumpkin. Little did we know, he would turn out to be the best little pumpkin we had ever carved. That afternoon we took him out behind Chillis, prepared to carve. After drawing what we though was the perfect face, we dug in. After about a half an hour we were finished. The sweat on our brow, and the pulp on our fingers was a small price to pay for seeing that little face light up with a smile (or a candle). Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. You see, after a few weeks, months, whatever, Bernard started to rot. So, one night, a drunken Ray came to our room and discovered the moldy remains of Bernard. Since we didn't have the heart to do it, she heaved the rotted corpse out the door, into the bushes, never to be seen again.
